Recreation is a ministry tool here at Faith Baptist to reach new families for Christ and provide opportunities for Christian fellowship, exercise and instruction. The Recreation Ministry of Faith Baptist Church is to provide opportunities for members and their invited guests to participate in leisure activities in a Christian setting with Spirit-filled leadership. All programming, events, and leadership will focus on leading the lost to Christ, challenging believers to a closer relationship with God, and promoting fellowship within the local body of believers.We desire that you find your time spent at beautiful recreation facilities, Buckhead Creek Recreation Complex or at Faith Baptist, to be enjoyable. 4.3 miles west of this point stands Old Buckhead Church. The present structure built around 1845 housed one of the oldest Baptist Congregations in the United States. (A historical marker located in Perkins in Jenkins County, Georgia.).

Buckhead Church was reconstituted Sept. 11, 1787 with James Matthews, pastor, and Sanders Walker and Josiah Taylor acting with him as presbytery. Dramacool my mr mermaid. Four church buildings have stood on or near this site. The first was log, followed in 1807 by a white frame one. A brick church was built in 1830. It was condemned and the present one was erected.
