When I opened Firefox, another page opened offering to install 'SafePrice.' I did 'not' place a checkmark beside the option to 'install' it but I did click 'Continue.'
Fanaa songs download free. When I checked the 'Add-On Manager,' it was listed, along with 'Online Security' as disabled. Is this automatically installed but disabled by default when Avast updated itself, is it installed but disabled when 'Continue' is clicked (even though a checkmark was not placed beside 'Install'), or is it only installed and 'enabled' if a checkmark is placed beside 'Install?' There is no option in 'Add/Remove Program-Change' to remove either of these completely. When I opened Firefox on Wed, another page opened offering to install 'SafePrice.' I did NOT check the box to install it but I did click 'Continue' and the webpage closed.I looked at the Firefox Extension List and 'SafePrice and 'Online Security' are listed as 'Disabled.' I want to remove the 'SafePrice' folder AND its listing in the Extension list-Win 7 x86 will not allow me to delete the 'SafePrice' folder and it is NOT listed under 'Add/Remove Programs.' B) Why aren't SafePrice and Online Security listed in Opera's Extension list/Plug-In list? Is it because they are only listed in the default browser?

So today Avast offered to install thier SafePrice malware for me (i.e. Malware: any software I do not want).I did NOT check the box to give approval, but they installed it in my Firefox browser anyhow, but set to disabled.
That's pretty cheeky for a security company. So I go to uninstall it. Cannot be done in the normal manner. No button exists in the browser Add Ins area to uninstall. They've somehow cleverly made it impossible for me to delete the SafePrice folder from my own computer. And there is no way to uninstall it from Add/Remove software. This is the ultimate example of malware, which Avast is supposed to be protecting me from. Software which installs itself without my permission and which has no way to uninstall it. I'm now half expecting a ransom note from Avast demanding money to uninstall it.This is NOT a good way to run a security company IMHO.

I am not amused. What I agree on is that it confuses the hell out of users - the problem is it is buried within obscurity - I hate the fact that the original AOS was called Browser Protection, who would ever think that this related to browser add-on/s.The true browser protection is the Web Shield, I feel this so called Browser Protection needs to be renamed to give clarity to what the hell it is - Browser add-ons - it should also have a check box for both add-ons so one, SafePrice can be removed if you don't want that but do want the AOS add-on.
